Restriction of the Poverty line for Divyang Pension to be discontinued: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that restriction of the poverty line will be discontinued for Divyang pension. Welfare works for divyang people will be made more effective. The Chief Minister was addressing the programme of Matki Phod competition organized jointly under the aegis of Kolar Hindu Utsav Samiti and Patrika Group of News Papers in Bhopal on September 05.

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan mentioned that every possible step has been taken in the state for the respect and protection of girls. Madhya Pradesh has enacted the law before any other state in the country to award death penalty to convicts for committing the heinous crime with girls. Death penalties have been awarded to 13 convicts in the state till now. The government has considered widows as Kalyani. Restriction of the poverty line will also be discontinued in their pension. CM Chouhan further mentioned that the state government has ensured every child pursues education. The state government is providing a fee of students who score over 70 per cent marks under the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana. An arrangement has been made to deposit fee of children belonging to poor families under the Sambal Yojana.

The Chief Minister extended greetings of Janmashtami. He prayed to Lord Krishna to bless everyone and help them move on the path of progress and development. He mentioned that the sewerage project costing Rs. 103 crore and other gifts like the facility of potable water, college, tahsil office and Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Nagar have been given to Kolar.
