03 Sep 2018

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will perform bhoomi poojan of 9 Micro Lift Irrigation schemes worth Rs. 7 thousand 35 crores 38 lakh under the Narmada Valley Development from September 5 to 7. The Narmada Valley Development Authority has developed a new and useful alternative in the form of Micro Lift Irrigation in place of the traditional system of construction of dams, reservoirs and canals for expansion of irrigation facility. Under this, water will be supplied by lifting it from the existing dams, reservoirs, canals and incessant Narmada river to those regions where irrigation is not possible through canals.
