Shivraj Singh Chouhan pays floral tributes at Rani Durgawati’s samadhi

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid floral tributes at the samadhi of the Veerangana at the tribal convention organized on Rani Durgawati’s martyrdom day. On this occasion, he also felicitated heads of tribal communities from nine districts of Mahakaushal region who had come to attend the convention. The Chief Minister further offered floral tributes to Veer Narayan, son of Rani Durgawati at the Samadhi site.

A photo exhibition based on the life of Rani Durgawati was organized by the Swaraj Sansthan at the Samadhi site. Heads of the tribal community welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a bow and arrow and adorning him with a pagdi as per their tradition.

CM dances with folk dancers

While offering floral tributes at the Rani’s Samadhi the Chief Minister started raising slogans “Rani Durgawati amar rahe”. He shook hands warmly with all who had gathered to welcome him and also spoke to them. He also shook a leg to folk dances along with tribal dancers. Shri Chouhan announced a grant of Rs 25 thousand each to the four groups of tribal folk dancers who performed on the occasion.
