Grant of Rs. 17 per cow to be given to Gou-Shalas for Gou-Sanrakshan

In a programme held on the occasion of 39th Deekshaant Diwas and the 61st birth anniversary of Gurudev Shri Rishabhchandra Sureeshwar at Mohankheda of Dhar district, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that a grant of Rs. 17 per cow will be given to Gou-Shalas of the state for Gou-Sanrakshan. He mentioned that the state government by drawing inspiration from Gurudev has started building a sanctuary at Agar for cows’ protection. Gurudev, while presenting a memento to CM Chouhan honoured and blessed him with Mukhya Mantri Ratna Samman and letter of felicitation.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that the state government has started Sambal Yojana for poor and labourers by drawing inspiration from Gurudev. He informed that 1 crore 82 lakh people have registered under the scheme. He said that the Jain community has played an important role in showing the path of public welfare to the state government. He further stated that provisions have been made in the state’s budget to spend maximum amount for the welfare of poor section. The Chief Minister presented sewing machines to women beneficiaries for self-employment under the lottery system in the programme.
