Finance will not be an impediment towards education: Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that no child will be deprived of education due to lack of money in the state. He said that the government will bear the fees of outstanding students. Addressing a programme by a private channel in Bhopal on June 19, CM Chouhan said that the Government has taken all possible measures to facilitate access to education. Be it a provision for giving free cycles to girls, laptops to meritorious students or filling their fees for higher education, firm steps have been taken to make education employment-oriented through innovative experiments in education.

The Chief Minister mentioned that efforts are being made to build toilets in every school. Discussing the education system one and a half decade ago, he said it was in a very bad shape. Today teachers are receiving a respectable salary and academic infrastructure has also improved. He said that now the students have to pay attention only to studies. Funds are being arranged by the government.

CM Chouhan said that four Shramoday Vidyalayas will be opened for children of labourers. Referring to the schemes implemented for self-employment for the youth, he said that youth can start their own enterprise. The government will give them all possible assistance. He mentioned that focus on employment and skill development is being taken care of. The Chief Minister also felicitated youth from remote backward areas and who have scaled great heights in different fields in life.
