Special attention to be paid to promotion of games

Special attention will be paid to the promotion of games, said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at the concluding ceremony of the four-day Senior National Wrestling Championship in Indore today. Every possible assistance will be extended to players to encourage them.

CM Chouhan said that constant efforts are being made to encourage games in Madhya Pradesh. Players of the state are giving a good performance in both national and international competition. He said that winners of medals in the Senior National Wrestling Championship, Shri Ravi Barod and Sushri Rani Rana will be given cash award of Rs 1 lakh each while employment opportunity is also under consideration.

CM Chouhan distributed awards to the winners of medals at the national championship. He welcomed Olympians Shri Sushil Pahalwan, Sushri Sakshi Malik and national championship winners Shri Ravi Barod and Sushri Rani Rana. Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association President Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed gratitude to the state government for their assistance.

Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thawarchand Gehlot, Mayor Smt. Malini Gaud, Indore Development Authority Chairman Shri Shankar Lalwani, Madhya Pradesh Olympic Sangh Chairman and MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola, Madhya Pradesh Wrestling Association Chairman and MLA Shri Mohan Yadav and MLA Shri Mahendra Hardia were present on the occasion.
